Origins and Background in short
Business Management Quality Elektra was born in 1978 with a strong technical vocation for the electricity sector. The initial activities took place at San Sebastian City, where Elektra started developing high and low voltage installations in a small industrial bay.
At that time, the human team thought that marketing electricals could be a suitable complement to their business. Accordingly, they undertook to distribute value added electricals. Their decision led to the setting up of new workplaces and the opening of stores at Elgoibar, Pamplona and Olaberria.
In its more recent history, Elektra continued focusing on its technological orientation and enterprising nature, growing into a mature company that co-operates with its clients, as their electrical partner, with a view to improving their competitiveness day by day.
Also, a number of shared projects based on a same philosophy arose in the course of Elektra's development and are integrated into the Elektra Group: Baimen, La Eléctrica Alvarez Sirgo, Oleta-Berri and Selcansa dedicating themselves to the distribution of electrical goods, and Vydektra specialising in the field of voice and data installations, and acting as value added distributors. |

Service quality is a basic concept underlying all of Elektra's activities, as evidenced by the implementation of a quality management system to ISO standards since 1998.
Since that year, Elektra has kept striving to spread its quality objective through all of its workplaces and processes. In recognition of such an effort, it was awarded the Registered Company certificate, even setting an innovative precedent as regards the sale of electrical appliances.
Elektra's identity is also noticeable in its commitment to improving and spreading its corporate image, which has led us to carry out several projects, namely the publication of our second Corporate Image Manual in 2002, the creation of a web site in 2000, the release of our Corporate Catalogue in 2003, and the complete remodelling of our web site in 2004.
